Information Exchange Meeting Held on June 25, 2026

At the information exchange meeting (general assembly) held on June 26, 2026, the following took place:

Introductions from New Members

Our new members, Data Society Alliance (DSA) and DataLego, Inc. (Kite), gave presentations on their business activities, their reasons for joining the Consortium, and their expectations for participation.

Data Circulation Working Group

The session covered the current state of the data trading market and the challenges it faces, along with automated negotiation systems for data trading. It also featured a demonstration of a data marketplace with automated negotiation built in: buyers and sellers each set their terms, and AI agents negotiate on their behalf to reach the best possible agreement.
The Q&A that followed sparked a lively discussion of the challenges ahead, from legal constraints to growing the market.

Manufacturing Working Group

A case example of automated negotiation AI was presented: a procurement negotiation agent service has moved from the pilot stage to full-scale operation. Research findings were also introduced, estimating that optimizing safety stock levels on the premise of automated negotiation can reduce total cost — the combined cost of inventory, stockouts, and negotiation effort.
